Mask Recommendations

Over the past year, we have seen many changes in mask recommendations: the number of layers required, the type of materials, and what filter material to use. The latest non-medical mask guidance is that masks should be least two-layers with preferably a non-woven polypropylene fabric (Canadian Government Mask Guidance). While a two-layer filter is the minimum number of layers, the latest recommendation is for 3-layer masks, accounced by Canada's Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam (3-layer Recommendation).

Since the pandemic started, B’Spoke Apparel has stayed ahead of the curve by producing quality three-layer masks. We are located in Halifax, and we take great pride in helping to protect our local community and Canadians everywhere. Our masks are made with the highest of care and we have been trusted by Canada’s Department of National Defence, retirement communities, restaurants, and many other businesses to help protect them against COVID-19.

Your protection and comfort are top priorities for all the masks we make. Our masks are made to repel airborne particles and are comfortable enough to be worn all day long. All of our masks have a repellent polyester or scuba/neoprene fabric for the outer layer. The inner layer is made of breathable, moisture-wicking cotton material, which draws moisture towards the filter layer. Our masks come with the option of two filters: a replaceable non-woven polypropylene filter, which is the same material used in the construction of N95 masks; the second filter option is a permanent PP-30-D (PTFE) filter, which is an FDA approved material and has been shown to stop 99% of virus particles 0.3 microns in size.

Our masks come in a variety of styles and patterns as well as the option to create your own custom mask. All of our masks come in a range of youth and adult sizes. For more details about our masks and to view all our styles please visit: https://www.bspokeapparel.com/face-masks
